Branding is one of the most fun and exciting parts of getting a new business off the ground. Crafting the perfect brand for you is a unique combination of your personality, style and industry. Today, I wanted to share with you 6 very different and inspiring personal brands so that you could see just how unique your brand can be. With each brand, I've provided a screenshot of their homepage, a brand graphic and a few key lessons you can learn from each.
1. Denise Duffield-Thomas of LuckyBitch.com
Graphic:
Her brand: cool, casual, down-to-earth Aussie babe. self-proclaimed "chillpreneur," hilarious, full of life
Uses words like: lucky bitch, hey gorgeous, money block
Brand trick: Denise uses a custom branded backdrop for all her videos!
What you can learn from her: Don't be afraid to be a bit scandalous (yes, bitch is in her name!). Connect with your audience via Facebook Live & laugh it off when anything goes wrong (and post the video anyway!). Choose a brand that is YOU!

Uses words like: kickass, badass, rockstar, empire
Brand trick: Get in front of people using webinars so they can get to know you and your personality!
What you can learn from her: Your brand can be whatever you want it to be. You can go the unconventional route, do something different and build a successful brand.

Uses words like: love & high fives, let's create an adventure
Brand trick: Brand consistency is key! Pay attention to details and brand each element (like the checklist, email and monitor icons above).
What you can learn from her: Your brand does not have to be prim and proper! I love Molly's cool + casual hand-drawn vibe.

Uses words like: professional word nerd, style em' up, communication stylist, magic words
Brand trick: Struggling to describe what you do? Create your own title, as Nikki did with "Communication Stylist."
What you can learn from her: "You’ve already got a voice. You know, the one you use to chat with your best friend? The one you use when working with clients? Yep. That one."

5. Melyssa Griffin of MelyssaGriffin.com
Graphics:
Her brand: bubbly, upbeat, friendly, relatable, positive, genuine
Uses words like: woo!, hey friends, heart-centered hustlers and is not afraid of using emojis :)
Brand trick: Make sure you look into how colour is perceived. Notice how the yellow (which is commonly associated with happiness, optimism) completely matches Melyssa's brand. Plus, every time I see a yellow post on Pinterest, I know it's from Melyssa!
What you can learn from her: Don't be afraid to infuse personality into your posts! Speak to your readers as though they're your friends.

What you can learn from her: Have the confidence to sell your product - you know what it's worth, so tell people!

Now, let's talk about what they all have in common:
1. Use a photo of themselves in their homepage banner (people want to see who is behind the brand!)
2. Developed a unique brand that reflects their personality
3. Use language they would use in everyday life
